Laser-Seal was developed by Bahman Guyuron, MD, FACS, an innovator in the field of laser resurfacing. Dr. Guyuron is a graduate of Tehran University Medical School and completed a General Surgery Internship at Flushing Hospital and Medical Center, New York; a General Surgery Residency at Boston University, Massachusetts; a Plastic Surgery Residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Ohio; and a Fellowship in Craniofacial Surgery at the Toronto University Hospital for Sick Children ,Toronto, Canada.
Dr. Guyuron is certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery and The American Board of Surgery.
Dr. Guyuron has served as Director, Section of Craniofacial Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation (1981-1983) and Division Chief, Plastic Surgery, Mt. Sinai Medical Center (1986-1993). Since 1997, he has been the Medical Director at Zeeba Surgery Center in Lyndhurst, Ohio. Since 1994, Dr. Guyuron has also held an Academic Appointment as a Clinic Professor of Plastic Surgery at Case Western Reserve University.
Dr. Guyuron is a prolific author, with over 140 articles in peer-reviewed journals, over 30 book chapters and 2 textbooks. He is a member of 19 professional organizations and is currently involved in a number of committees for the American Association of Plastic Surgeons, American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons, and American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Guyuron is Past President of the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons, The Rhinoplasty Society, Ohio Valley Society for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, and Northeast Ohio Society for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. Additionally, Dr. Guyuron has been intimately involved in the education of plastic surgery through his participation in over 700 presentations, educational programs and symposia at regional, national and international conferences.
Dr. Guyuron is the recipient of 9 distinguished professional awards, including the Greater Cleveland Health Professional of the Year, and he serves as a member of 10 medical and non-medical Boards of Trustees.
